Hi! I am Markus. I am an artist and an illustrator. I live in the nice city of Leipzig, Germany.
On my paintings:
I like to do figurative paintings and also abstract art. I like to paint spaces that start a thought process. In this I am influenced by mediaval and surrealist painting. I am always working to develop what my images are.
While my style has it‘s roots in the academic study of nature I still want to challenge the viewers seeing habits and aesthetic concepts.
Images can be simple or full of detail. I work within both of these extremes.
In the last years I contributed to several print-products like educational and underground books.
